Cut holes out of the bread slices with a biscuit or cookie cutter and place the hole into the bottom of each of the muffin pan holes.

Chop the onion and saute it in a pan over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until it's softened.

In a bowl, add the eggs and seasonings. Blend together. Chop the chives and throw them into the egg mixture together with the sauteed onion. Throw the rest of the ingredients into the egg mixture (cream, cooked bacon and cheese) and stir well.

Using a ladle or measuring cup, pour the egg mixture into each of the muffin tins, on top of the bread circles.

Bake in a 350F oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
