Old Fashion Sugar Cookies

   Cream sugar, salt and butter or margarine thoroughly.

   Beat eggs, lemon rind and vanilla.

   Cream mixture until light and fluffy.

   Sift together flour and baking powder.

   Gradually stir into creamed ingredients.

   Roll dough 1/2-inch thick and cut into fancy shapes.

   Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

   Sprinkle with sugar.

   Bake in moderate oven at 350u00b0 for 9 to 10 minutes, until light brown around edges.
