1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 Tbsp. Crisco
1 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar

Grease a large baking sheet.

Place the raisins in a small bowl, cover with hot water.

Allow to soak for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl combine to oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In a medium bowl combine the egg, Crisco, honey, vanilla, sugar and brown sugar.

Add to the oats.

Stir to mix well.

Drain the raisins and stir into the bowl.

Drop the dough by tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheet.

Allow 2 inch space between them.

Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
