1 cup Red Wine
15 ounces, weight Ricotta Cheese
1 whole Egg
1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley Flakes
6 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Fry the bacon.

Set aside bacon, but save the grease.

To make sauce:

In large pot, saute onion and garlic in the bacon grease until onion begins to be transparent.

Add ground beef and Italian sausage.

Cook until brown.

Add bacon, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, fennel seeds and wine.

Simmer on low for 45 minutes.

Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.

Drain and rinse in cold water.

In medium bowl, blend ricotta, egg and parsley flakes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Spoon a small amount of the sauce on the bottom of the pan.

Layer 1/3 of the cooked lasagna noodles on top of that sauce, followed by 1/3 of the tomato sauce, 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the mozzarella and 1/3 of the parmesan.
