1
Preheat your oven to 350 F
-
2
Grease and line 2 large baking sheets.
-
3
Cut the butter into cubes, put it in a large bowl and cream it with the sugar, allspice and cinnamon.
-
4
Beat it until it turns light in color and fluffy in texture; this will take about 10 minutes.
-
5
Then lightly beat in the egg, milk and vanilla.
-
6
In a separate bowl, sift together the plain flour and the baking powder.
-
7
Sift this again over the creamed butter and sugar and bring together by stirring well with a wooden spoon.
-
8
Throw in the chopped white chocolate and the macadamias.
-
9
At this stage the dough will be a little dry so knead it lightly to pull it together nicely.
-
10
With your hands roll golf-sized balls of the dough then flatten them out into discs with your palms.
-
11
Place them onto the baking sheet, then into the oven for 10 -12 minutes.
-
12
You can rotate the baking sheets half way through so that they color evenly.
-
13
Once lightly golden, remove them from the oven and using an egg flip transfer them to cooling racks.
