In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat flour, butter, sugar, sour cream. eggs, custard powder and vanilla together on low for 2-3 minutes, until smooth. Stir three-quarters of the chopped nectarines through.

Spoon mixture into cases, until two-thirds full. Press extra nectarine slices on top of each muffin.

To make crumble topping, in a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Using fingertips, rub in butter to form crumbs. Sprinkle topping evenly over top of each muffin.

Bake 25-30 minutes, until cooked when tested with a skewer. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
