Mystery Pie

   Cream together butter and sugar.

   Add cinnamon and cloves. Stir in syrup.

   Add eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition until blended.

   Stir in rolled oats.

   Pour the mixture into pie shell and bake at 350u00b0 about 1 hour or until knife, inserted in center, comes out clean.

   During the baking the oatmeal forms a chewy nut-like crust on top.
