1
Preheat oven 350F.
-
2
Prepare a loaf pan.
-
3
Line with tin foil to lift the baked loaf out and spray with Pam or similar nonstick spray.
-
4
Prepare the stuffing/dressing mix in the microwave.
-
5
Place ground beef in a large bowl.
-
6
Add beaten egg and mix thoroughly.
-
7
Add a handful of oatmeal or breadcrumbs and mix well.
-
8
Add onion soup mix and mix well.
-
9
On the counter, lay out about 14 to 16 inches of either waxed paper or Saran wrap and position it so you can roll this towards you.
-
10
Place the burger mixture in the centre and press with a large spoon into a rectangular shape with an even depth of about 3/4 inch all around.
-
11
The width of the rectangle should be the same as the length of a loaf pan.
-
12
Place the prepared dressing (Stovetop) mixture all over the meat.
-
13
Slightly press it into the mixture and leave a bit of an exposed edge.
-
14
Take the far edge of the Saran wrap and pull towards you so the mixture rolls into a pinwheel.
-
15
As you roll gently, press the mixture to avoid breakage and press the edges to the inside.
-
16
Continue rolling and when complete, secure the edge into the loaf with your fingertips.
-
17
Place the loaf in the foil-lined loaf pan and bake for about 45 minutes or until nicely browned on top.
-
18
Let the loaf sit for about 5 minutes to set before slicing.
