1/2 pound mushrooms
1 small onions peeled, finely chopped
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup flour, unbleached all-purpose
1 cup vegetable stock
1 cup soy milk low-fat

1 x black pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 375F (190C).

Cook barley in water in a large pot for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, saute mushrooms and onion with oil in a frying pan over medium heat for 3 minutes.
