Mincemeat Pecan Buns

   Mix and sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

   Work in shortening with pastry cutter.

   Add milk; mix thoroughly and pat out on floured board to 1/4-inch thickness.

   Brush with melted butter and spread with mincemeat.

   Roll as a jelly roll.

   Cut in 1-inch slices and place on a baking sheet which has been heavily coated with butter.

   Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecan halves. Bake at 450u00b0 for 20 minutes.

   Remove from pan and serve, pecan side up.
