Mimi'S Rum Cake

   Preheat oven to 325

   Blend all ingredients (up until vanilla mix) together first, then beat on high speed for 2 minutes

   Place walnuts in bottom of large bunt pan, and pour batter over. Cook for 45 minutes to an hour, checking for doneness with toothpick.

   While cake is baking, prepare rum glaze (everything after walnuts) to put on cake as soon as it's removed from oven. About 4 minutes before cake should be done, blend ingredients together and bring to boil for 3 minutes (no longer). Immediately drizzle over cake and let sit in pan for 30 minutes.

   Run knife around outer edge and around center stem of pan. Let cook completely, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
