Microwave Beets

   Wash fresh beets well and remove stem and root ends.

   Place beets in a 2-quart microwave dish with water to cover.

   Cover dish with plastic wrap.

   Cook for 30 to 35 minutes on full power.

   When beets can be easily pierced with a sharp knife, drain and peel off skins.

   Serve whole or diced.
