Ingredients: 1 c. butter; 1 c. Crisco oil; 1 c. granulated sugar; 1/2 teaspoon salt; 1 c. powdered sugar; 2 Large eggs, beaten; 5 c. sifted flour; 1 1/4 teaspoon soda; 1 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar; 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract; 1 teaspoon vanilla

Servings: persons

1 c. butter
1 c. Crisco oil
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 c. powdered sugar
2 Large eggs, beaten
5 c. sifted flour
1 1/4 teaspoon soda
1 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream sugar, salt, butter, and oil till sugar is dissolved.

Add in powdered sugar, and beaten Large eggs.

Mix.

Add in 1 c. flour to that the cream of tartar and soda has been added, then add in vanilla and lemon extract and mix well.

Add in rest of flour.

If Large eggs were small, use only 4 1/2 c. of flour.

Refrigeratedough 3-4 hrs or possibly overnight in refrigerator.

Roll dough in little balls.

Put on ungreased cookie sheet; dip bottom of glass in sugar and press down.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 min.

Watch so they do not turn brown.

Use colored sugar at holidays.
