Prepare a creme anglaise with the sugar, egg, cornstarch and the milk. Cook the cream in a medium saucepan until it thickens, add the white chocolate while the cream is still hot.

Let the cream cool, then add the mascarpone cheese and incorporate it well.

Place the ingredients in the bread machine bowl as they are listed.

Set the bread machine.

At the end, add the add the chocolate chips.

Bake the bread at 180C until done.

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool.

Place a disk of cake or bread on a plate, add a generous layer of cream to the cake with some dark chocolate shavings, top with a second disk of cake, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
