2 Packages (8 ounce.) French cut frzn green beans
3 tbsp. salad oil
1/2 c. finely minced celery
1 sm. can water chestnuts
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 can French fried onions
3 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. evaporated lowfat milk
1 1/4 c. water
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Thaw beans.

Saute/fry celery in oil till transparent.

Add in flour and blend well.

Stir in lowfat milk, water and seasonings gradually.

Cook till mix thickens.

Put 1 package of uncooked beans in casserole.

Add in half of celery/flour mix.

Slice water chestnuts over sauce.

Sprinkle with cheese, then add in second package of beans and rest of celery/flour mix.

Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
