Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugars. Add eggs and maple extract and beat well. Set aside.

Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and spices in a separate bowl and whisk together. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat well until it is all combined. Then add the oats and mix it some more.

I like to use my small cookie scoop for this recipe, it's about 1 rounded teaspoon size. Using your scoop, drop cookie dough about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes. Then remove them from the oven and allow cookies to cool for a minute or two on the sheet. Then remove them from the sheet to a cooling rack.
