Spoon the batter into the molds of the prepared plaque, filling each one half full. Place on the middle shelf of the oven and back for 12-15 minutes, until golden and starting to brown at the edges.

Unmold and place on a rack. Dust with confectioners' sugar and serve while still warm. Makes 12 3-inch madeleines.
