London Broil with Balsamic Sauce

   Preheat your broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.

   Salt and pepper the meat.

   Using a large skillet over low heat, mix the vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and the bay leaf.

   Simmer this until the liquid has reduced by half and is a syrupy, about 5 minutes.

   Discard the bay leaf.

   Place your london broil on the baking sheet and cover it with the glaze.

   Broil the meat 4 inches from the heat about 4 to 5 minutes per side, longer for more done meat.

   Place meat on a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.

   Slice the meat against the grain in thin slices and serve.

    Tip: Mom always cracked the oven door open when using the broiler so the meat doesnt burn.
