Laurel Thompson's Ham Pinwheels

   Spread cream cheese over slices of ham, going to the edges.

   (I count the number of slices ~ usually 8 ~ and divide the cheese into that many cubes.

   This makes it easier to have enough cheese of all slices) Place one green onion at the edge of each slice of ham.

   Roll each slice tightly around onion.

   Place in freezer about an hour to make slicing easier.

   Slice each roll into 1/4-inch slices.

   Actually I slice my rolls into 6 slices.

   NOTE I: You may substitute for the onions: asparagus.

    NOTE II: Suggested additions to the cream cheese: chopped canned green chilies, chopped black olives, celery seed, dill seed, or seasoned salt such as Mrs.
