Set oven at 350 degrees. Cook lasagna in boiling water until firm, when fork goes through but not soggy. Drain and wash in cold water. Fry Italian sausage before adding hamburger. Add onions, bell pepper and continue frying. Add 4 or 5 tomatoes, canned, and cut up with spoon in pan. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce and mix. Add mushrooms with half of liquid, sliced olives with half of liquid, oregano and bay leaves. Cover and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.

In an 8x13 inch buttered pan, arrange in layers (a little sauce first), lasagna, meat sauce, cottage cheese (scattered), grated cheeses, sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheeses on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, uncovered.
