Ladybirds Experimental Tye Dyed Flowers .

With the thin sharp knife or scissors , cut the stem lengthwise in half , going upwards , but do not cut it off the stem .

Now using the same knife cut each stem half in half lengthwise up the stem so to make 4 even dangley bits of stem hanging from the rose .

Place one of each food colouring per shot glass till each of the shot glasses are pretty full .

Next place one piece of rose cut stem per food coloured shot glass , making sure the stems are emerged into the food colouring in the shot glasses .

( you may need to prop your rose up with something to balance it , i used my vase lol ) .

Now set aside and leave it all sit for a few hours so that the food colouring can travel up the stem so to make the petals colourful .

Once roses have changed colour , rinse the stem ends that were submerged in the food colouring and but off the 4 dangley bits to even up the stem .

Place coloured flowers into a clean vase with clean water for people to see .
