Grease one 9 x 13 pan or two 9 inch cake pans with butter. Preheat oven to 350u00b0F.

Warm the 1/2 cup water. Sprinkle yeast over the water. Stir gently to make sure the yeast is evenly distributed in the water. Set aside. Mix the milk, sugar, salt and butter in a saucepan. Heat until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly (until mixture is lukewarm). Add the dissolved yeast mixture. Stir to combine. In a large bowl combine the flour, eggs, vanilla and lemon extract. Stir to combine. Add the sugar/yeast mixture. Stir until smooth and blended well. The dough will be sticky. Spread the dough in the 9 x 13 pan or divide between the two 9 inch cake pans. Set in a warm place and let rise 50 minutes.

Mix the last three ingredients (butter, sugar, cinnamon). Sprinkle over the dough. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the sugar/cinnamon topping is like syrup. Makes 12-16 servings.
