Ingredients: 1 Lb. sweet butter; 1 Dozen sieved hard boiled egg yolks; 1/2 lb. powdered sugar; 4 1/2 cups flour; 1/2 tsp salt; 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; Cheese filling:; 1 cup cream cheese; 1/4 cup sugar; 1 egg yolk; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; 1 teasponn grated lemon zest (optional); 2 tablespoons flour

1 Lb. sweet butter
1 Dozen sieved hard boiled egg yolks
1/2 lb. powdered sugar
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Cheese filling:
1 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teasponn grated lemon zest (optional)
2 tablespoons flour

Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl to make dough. Grease cookie sheets. Roll out the dough to 3/8 inch thick on a lightly floured board. Use round cookiie cutter or shot glass to cut. Make a slight indentation with your thumb in each kolacky for filling with various filling.(Solo Apricot, prune, poppyseed, cherry almond etc. or cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 -20 minutes on center rack in oven.
