Making the Kadaife

Butter a 9x12 bakin dish, preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Divide dough in half and add 1/2 the butter and mix it in with the fingers until the dough has taken in the butter.Do this to both halves.

Mix cinnamon and sugar.

Lay half of the dough on the baking dish, add the cinnamon /walnut mixture and cover with the rest of the dough.

Bake for about 40-50 minutes until dough has a golden color.

While it bakes, prepare the syrup.

As soon as it is out, drizzle a bit of the syrup, cover for 1/2 hour until softened by the steam; remove cover, cut in square and let cool off complete.

Making the Syrup

Bring to boil sugar and water for about 6 minutes, add lemon juice. Let cool.
