Ingredients: 3 c. flour; 2 1/2 c. sugar; 1 c. Crisco oil; 1 Tbsp. cinnamon; 1/2 c. orange juice; 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla; 4 eggs; 1/2 tsp. salt; 3 tsp. baking powder; 4 to 6 apples, peeled and sliced thin

Grease and flour tube pan.

Bake at 350u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.

Put apples in a bowl.

Mix 1/4 cup of sugar with cinnamon.

Mix oil and remaining 2 1/4 cups of sugar until fluffy; cream well.

Add eggs one at a time.

Add dry ingredients; add juice and vanilla. Beat until smooth.

Place 1/2 batter in greased and floured tube pan.

Layer apples, cinnamon and sugar.

Cover apples with remaining butter.
