Jay's and Carolyn's Green Bean Bundles - Green Bean Bundles

   Preheat oven to 350 degrees (175 C.).

   Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.

   Cut the bacon slices in half, and then put them in the microwave and cook about 2 minutes (just to get them going, they will still be limp).

   Let the bacon cool a little.

   Drain the beans, take about 10 of the beans in your hand and put them together side by side and make them into a bundle.

   Take one of the half pieces of bacon and wrap it around the bundle of beans.

   Secure the bacon ends together with a toothpick (Note: if the 1/2 is not large enough, then put 2 halves together to make it go around and secure all with the toothpick).

   Place the bundles into the prepared baking dish, side by side.

   Take the butter, sugar and garlic powder and put in a small pan

    Cook over medium heat until the sugar has melted, stirring often to make sure it doesn't burn.

    Pour butter and sugar mixture over the beans.

    Put them in the oven and cook for about 30 minutes.
