   Soften margarine; add vanilla, sugar and eggs.

   Stir in flour. Add nuts.

   Do not chop nuts.

   Larger pieces look more festive when baked.

   Pack dough into an 8-inch square wax paper lined pan. Chill overnight.

   Divide dough into 3 slabs.

   Slice 1/4-inch thick.

   Bake on a cookie sheet approximately 8 minutes at 350u00b0. Should be crisp and light brown.

   Can be frozen and baked as needed.

    Use a variety of nuts.

    Black walnuts are very tasty.
