Core, peel, and slice apples and toss them in your crock pot.

Add water (or applejuice for a sweeter applesauce) until the bottom is covered completely.

A cup of liquid should do the job, otherwise add more until the bottom is covered completely.

Cook on low for about 4 hours, or until apples are soft.

Once soft, mash the apples up.

For a thinner sauce, add the cooked apples to a blender and pulse until it reaches desired texture.

The applesauce in my photo was made by just mashing the apples.

This makes for a slightly chunkier applesauce.
