Hazelnut Loaf Cake

   Grease a 9 1/4 x 5 1/4-inch loaf pan.

   Preheat oven to 350u00b0. In large bowl, beat margarine, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.

   Beat in eggs, one at a time.

   Add hazelnuts.

   Sift flour and baking powder together.

   Fold into mixture; mix thoroughly. Stir in brandy.

   Put batter into the greased loaf pan.

   Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours or test with a wooden pick.

   Remove from pan and cool. Sift powdered sugar over cooled cake.
