Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

In a bowl, pour the flour, yeast, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix.

Add the butter, cut into small pieces.

Mix with your fingertips to obtain a paste which resembles coarse sand.

Add egg and milk gradually, mix to obtain a homogeneous dough, then add the dried fruits.

Spread the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of 2 to 2.5 centimeters.

Cut your scones with a biscuit cutter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the scones with a little milk, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until properly inflated and very lightly browned.

Optionally, sprinkle seeds or oatmeal on top of the scones before baking.
