Ingredients: 4 c. diced apples; 2 c. sugar; 2 eggs; 1 c. Wesson oil; 1 tsp. vanilla; 3 c. flour; 2 tsp. salt; 2 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. cinnamon; 1 tsp. nutmeg; 1 c. chopped walnuts

Mix together apples and sugar.

Let stand for 1 hour.

Sift together dry ingredients.

Beat eggs and blend in oil and vanilla. Mix apples and sugar and dry ingredients with egg mixture.

Blend in walnuts, mixing well.

Pour into greased and floured tube cake pan.

Bake at 350u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.

Frost with plain white icing and top with nuts if desired.
