Hard Rock Candy

   Mix sugar, water and corn syrup in a large saucepan.

   Cook over medium heat until mixture reaches 300u00b0 on candy thermometer or hard-crack stage.

   Remove from heat.

   Add food coloring and flavoring; mix well.

   Pour into well-greased cookie pans; cool, enough to touch.

   Cut with scissors into bite size pieces; dust with powdered sugar.

   Store in airtight containers.
