1 c. minced nuts
1/4 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream shortening and sugar.

Add in egg yolks and vanilla.

Add in dry ingredients.

This makes a stiff dough.

Press proportionately into greased, large cookie sheet.

Press chocolate chips and nuts on top.

Mix 2 egg whites and 1 c. brown sugar till stiff.

Spread this mix on top of everything and bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
