4 sandwich steaks (thin slices)

3/4 cup mushroom, champignon
8 slices rye bread
French fries (optional) or chips (optional)
for the caramelized onions
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 onions, sliced into thin rings
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 -2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
