(For the marinara sauce) heat up a small sauce pan with a lid and place in onions, garlic, and oregano.

Put in the tomato sauce, garlic powder/pepper and bay leaf, cover and cook 5-8 minutes

(to assemble samwhiches) spread butter on one half of a slice of bread, turn over and add marinara sauce to the unbuttered side, sprinkle on mozzarella then lay down about 5-7 slices of pepperoni, sprinkle on more cheese then set on a pan at medium-high heat.

Quickly spread butter on another slice of bread, add marinara to the unbuttered side, then place the slice, marinara side down on the cheese.

Cook 2 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
