Take two cups or about two handfuls (or what looks like about two servings) of fresh, already trimmed, washed green beans. Throw into a heated skillet. Put about a tablespoon or two of butter, 1 cup of mushrooms and the sliced almonds. Saute until it is browning nicely and the green beans are cooking well. Throw in some minced garlic and pinch of salt. If you throw the garlic in at the beginning it will probably burn by the time it is done. This all took maybe 20 minutes. It was a really quick dish!

Be careful not to overcook your green beans because then you lose some of the crunch that is so good when they are fresh. Feel free to add whatever else you would like. Onions also make a great addition. Substitute fat-free butter and other healthier ingredients if necessary.
