Grandma'S Refrigerator Oatmeal Cookies

   Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and mix well.

   Dissolve soda in hot water and add alternately with rest of dry ingredients.

   Add nuts, raisins and oatmeal (and chocolate morsels).

   Shape in rolls; wrap in wax paper and put in refrigerator.

   (Or drop teaspoonful at a time on cookie sheet if baking immediately.)

   If in refrigerator, slice and bake as desired in medium oven, 350u00b0, until desired consistency, about 12 to 15 minutes.
