Brown hamburger; drain.

Add tomato sauce, tomato paste (rinse cans with a little water), parsley flakes, basil, oregano, sugar and salt.

Bring to boil; turn down and simmer with lid on for 30 to 45 minutes.

Beat egg and add to cottage cheese.

Add vegetable oil and salt to water.

(This will keep noodles from breaking.) Line bottom of 9 x 13-inch glass dish with 2 to 3 tablespoons of hamburger mixture.

Place 3 noodles on top.

Put 1/2 of cottage cheese on top of hamburger. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Top with Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
