Goody Bars

   Preheat oven to 350u00b0.

   Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking sheet. Beat together the margarine, sugar and corn syrup in large bowl until light and fluffy.

   Blend in egg and vanilla.

   Add oats, chocolate chips and nuts.

   Pour into baking sheet.

   Press firmly into pan with moist fingers.

   Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown.

   Cool on wire rack.

   When cool, refrigerate one hour before cutting.

    Cut into 2-inch bars.
