1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
4 Large eggs, 3 if lg.
3 c. flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking pwdr
2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 c. oatmeal
2 c. chocolate or possibly butterscotch chips or possibly raisins
1 c. minced nuts

Use large bowl.

Soften butter and shortening.

Stir till creamy.

Add in sugars and vanilla.

Cream some more.

Add in Large eggs, beat till fluffy.

In another bowl combine flour, soda, salt and baking pwdr.

Add in to creamed mix 1 cupful at a time, mixing well.

Fold in oatmeal same way, adding chips and nuts last 1 c. at a time.

Batter will be very thick.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 min.
