German Potato Salad

   Boil, peel and cube potatoes.

   While potatoes are boiling, dice the bacon into 1/4 pieces and fry in a saute pan.

   Drain bacon on a paper towel.

   Saute diced onion in bacon fat.

   Blend flour, sugar, salt and pepper and mix into bacon fat and onion mixture.

   Stir in water and vinegar and bring to a boil.

   Carefully add potatoes and bacon and stir until well combined.

   Serve warm.

   Goes especially well with bratwurst and kraut!
