German Chocolate Caramel Bars

   Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in saucepan on low heat.

   Stir until smooth.

   Set aside.

   Combine cake mix, butter and remaining evaporated milk.

   Press 1/2 of this mixture onto bottom of ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.

   Bake at 350u00b0 for 6 minutes. Sprinkle baked crust with chocolate and nuts.

   Then top with caramel mixture; spoon the remaining cake mixture over top. Return to 350u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes until set.

   Remove from oven to cool.
