1
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
-
2
Add the water, yeast, and sugar to a large bowl and mix well. Wait until the yeast has dissolved.
-
3
Add the flours and 2 tablespoons of salt and mix again.
-
4
Place the bowl in a warm spot and cover with a moist towel. Allow to rise for 1 1/2 hours.
-
5
In another bowl, blend the butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt into a puree
-
6
Turn out the dough on to a floured surface and knead by hand. Divide the dough into 2 portions.

7
Roll out each one, using a rolling pin, to form rectangles.
-
8
Spread with 3/4 of the garlic butter, saving a little aside for later.
-
9
Roll up from the long edge of the rectangle, taking care to seal the edges to prevent the melted butter escaping.
-
10
Place in a baguette pan and leave to rest for 1 hour covered with a moist towel at room temperature.
-
11
Uncover the baguette; with a sharp knife make horizontal slits along the top of the dough and then sprinkle with flour.
-
12
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
-
13
Remove immediately from the pan and leave to cool on a cooling rack.
-
14
Set the oven's broiler on high.
-
15
Cut the bread in slices, spread with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with dill.
-
16
Broil for a minute or 2 and serve warm.
