Fruity Bread And Butter Pudding

   Preheat the oven to 350u00b0F. Spread loaf slices lightly with butter. Place half the slices in bottom of six 1 1/2-cup baking dishes or one 2-quart baking dish.

   Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Whisk in cream. Pour half the cream mixture over bread in dishes. Repeat layers with remaining bread slices and cream mixture. Let stand for 30 mins.

   Place dishes on a baking pan. Bake for 30-35 mins for small puddings or 45 mins for large pudding, until puddings are puffed and light golden. Let stand for 5-10 mins before serving.

   Sprinkle with a little cinnamon sugar and serve with fresh or canned fruit.
