Preheat oven to 350u00b0F. Grease a deep 8 inch cake pan and line base and sides with parchment paper.

Stir chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low heat until melted. Add marsala, sugar, ground almonds and coffee. Transfer to a large bowl and beat in egg yolks, 1 at a time. Whip egg whites to soft peaks then gently fold in. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 45 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan then cover and chill for 3 hours or overnight.

Meanwhile, to make the strawberry coulis, blend or process strawberries and powdered sugar until smooth.

Transfer cake to a cutting board. Cut into slices with a hot knife. Dust cake with powdered sugar. Serve with strawberry coulis and whipped cream, if desired.
