You will need a very large bowl. Pour sugar in the bowl. Make coffee, stir in hot coffee and dissolve the sugar. Let cool to room temperature.

When cool, add whipping cream, milk and vanilla. Pour in a 1-gallon freezer bag. Freeze for at least 24 hours.

Set out about 1 1/2 hours before serving. When it's slushy but not completly thawed (you don't want a liquid, you want a frozen slush consistency), pour into a punch bowl and serve.

I always have 2 to 4 gallons made in the freezer for last-minute get-togethers.

If you forget to set it out, set the bag in the sink and run COLD water over it. Smush until a slushy consistency and serve.
