   Using a heavy saucepan, dissolve sugars, water and syrup over medium heat. Boil until candy thermometer reaches 236u00b0. Pour one half of syrup slowly, beating all the while, over the stiffly beaten egg whites. Cook remainder of syrup to 252u00b0, then beat into whites. Add nuts and vanilla extract and continue beating until gloss of candy lessens and will stand up in peaks. When firm, drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper. Mixture sets up quickly. This is really delicious and makes lots of candy.
