3/4 lb. bread crumbs
1 lb. butter
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. currants
1/4 lb. citron
1/4 lb. orange peel
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
8 eggs
1 c. whiskey
1 c. wine
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix well the dry ingredients with butter (except flour and soda).

Makes about 6 pounds. Boil 8 to 10 hours.
