Eggless, Milkless, Butterless Cake

   In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, lard and raisins. Bring to a boil.

   Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

   Cool.

   Stir together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves.

   Stir into cooled raisin mixture.

   Mix well.

   Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan.

   Bake at 350u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until cake tests done with a wooden pick.
