Dyed Easter Eggs Recipe

   Place a rack over a paper-towel-lined baking sheet; set aside.

   Place eggs in a single layer in a large saucepan with a tightfitting lid.

   Add enough water to cover the eggs by 1 to 2 inches.

   Bring to a boil over high heat.

   Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes.

   Using a slotted spoon, carefully remove eggs to the rack and let sit until cool enough to handle.

   Pour 1 cup water into a small, nonreactive bowl or mug.

   Add vinegar and food coloring and stir to combine.

   For a darker color, add a few more drops of food coloring.

    Repeat for additional colors.

    If desired, decorate cooled eggs with crayons or stickers.

    Using a spoon, dip each egg into the dye, turning to coat evenly.
